Sighientu Village Hotel is one of the most elegant resorts in Sardinia as well as one of the most attractive centres for Thalassotherapy in Europe. The hotel is furnished using natural textiles and materials such as stone, wood and woven cloth and ethnic “Balinese” furnishings add a characteristic charm to the place. A beautiful central feature of the hotel is the free-form pool, artistically arranged with rocks and there is a small lake; home to a variety of birds. The overall effect is of a peaceful environment in real harmony with its beautiful, natural surroundings.
Rooms
We have 220 rooms, standard or sea view, all beautifully and immaculately furnished with luxurious textiles. Comforts include air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, mini-bar and safe. The Formula Life room includes an accomodation in sea side view room.
Restaurant
The “Scirocco” Main restaurant with wide outdoor terraces with sea view.
The “Libeccio” restaurant located within the attractive swimming pool and the sea, provides rich buffet of international and regional dishes, a large grill where to taste gorgeous local meat and fish; a reserved area for children is also available.
A cocktail bar inside the hotel and a snack bar close to the swimming pool and the beach. (Some services would be available according to the weather conditions and occupancy of the Hotel. Decision will be taken by the hotel manager).
Spa
Increasingly recognised for its healing and relaxation properties thalassotherapy is a technique for harnessing the natural properties of sea water. At Sighientu we have excellent facilities including a seawater pool at 32 degrees and treatments including application of warm sea algae, 4 hand massage, bio-marine walks in heated sea water pools with water jets to massage and invigorate every part of the body.
The weekly Awellness Card or the Formula Life includes: 2 bio-marine walks, 1 jacuzzi, 1 sauna, 1 steam bath per stay; reduction of 10 % on beauty treatments.
There is an extensive area with steam baths and sauna and the centre is divided into 4 areas:
* Hydro marine : seawater treatments for drainage, relaxation and detoxification.
* Beauty – treatments using marine products and specific massage techniques.
Thalassotherapy is a highly effective form of treatment for the human body, since it combines the natural, highly-concentrated mineral elements of seaweed and the use of warm water to increase the penetration of these active ingredients through the skin. Warm water dilates pores and blood vessels, making the skin more permeable and therefore more receptive to the active ingredients. Seawater contains at least 60 different minerals and trace elements, most of which are essential to the human organism. These include iodine, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, strontium, molybdenum, boron and a vast range of vitamins, trace elements, minerals and plankton. Seawater and seaweed are used to oxygenate, tone, moisturize and revitalize the body and the skin.
